Honorary Associate Professor at the University of Nottingham. Jennifer’s recent work has focused on transition from child to adult services, with particular attention to ideas that drive services and how people and systems co-operate in the delivery of services.

Associate Dean of Research at the University of Tasmania. Monica works in the areas of intellectual and developmental disabilities, with a focus on self-regulation and mastery motivation. She is involved in a program of research in Down syndrome.

Associate Professor and Chair in Intellectual Disability Behaviour Support at the University of New South Wales Leanne has been a scholar, practitioner, supporter and ally in the area of cognitive disability for over twenty-five years.

Chief Executive of the NDTi since May 2008. Before that he spent six and a half years as the UK Government's National Director for Learning Disabilities. Rob was the creator and original manager of the Valuing People Support Team and the prime author of Valuing People.


2017 Conference Scholarships

Australasian Society of Intellectual Disability (ASID) is offering scholarships to people with an intellectual disability who require financial assistance to attend the 2017 ASID Conference in Tasmania.

We have limited funding to support people in Australia to attend the conference. To support as many people as possible, we have distributed the scholarship amounts across regions. The maximum amount will be offered to each state or territory.
