DSW Conference 2011 Presentations

The conference was a great success attracting 600 delegates representing over 260 organisations across Australia and NZ.  Powerpoint slides for most sessions will be uploaded in the coming week.

The program will be made up from a mixture of papers chosen from the process of open submission and invited presentations. We are seeking papers and presentations that reflect research into practice. This could be the application of research findings, work undertaken in an organisation in partnership with researchers, projects undertaken as a team or the implementation of practice that has been informed by research or training.

We also invite submissions from those interested in, or involved with, the professional development of Disability Support Workers. Presentation support can be provided during the conference if requested.

Conference Topics for 2011

The program committee are interested in submission on the following broad topics;

·          Health

·          Working with Families

·          Person Centre Active Support and Practice Leadership

·          Inclusion and Representation

·          Sexuality and Relationships

·          Augmentative and Alternative Communication
